Llamasoft’s Next Thing…
A picture can be found here of Llamasoft’s next thing. Looks amazing, this’ll be a big reason I buy an XBox 360… someday, soon.

The May 2006 Indie Game Monthly Round-Up has been posted at Gametunnel. Some good reviews this month. Congratulations to Eets for game of the month and a great score.
Aggressive Game Designs have a number of shooter type games at their website.
GunRaven is a fairly typical Galaxian style game with fairly decent (for a mouse) controls. Mouse control usually feels a little too twitchy for me, and this is no different. You might notice the similarities between this and Aurikon, […]
Independent Gaming reviews Perfect Run. Nice find, quite a few interesting projects there. Intercept looks promising, one to keep an eye on. Perfect Run is also a great bit of fun, I like the understated colours and the graphical style.
4 color rebellion mention that Nebris are currently developing a Nintendo DS shmup, Raid Over the River. There’s a screenshot that looks ok, but it’s really hard to tell. Let’s hope they don’t make the same mistakes that were made with Nanostray.
OneSwitch is a very interesting concept: “A resource of fun ideas and ‘assistive technology’, aimed at moderate to severely learning/physically disabled people.” I found them through a link from Mersey Remakes, and there’s a page of Switch Shoot-em-ups. There’s a few interesting games there that only require a single key to use, ‘space‘ […]
Here’s a couple of videos that have been floating around the web recently. If you haven’t already seen them now’s your chance.
The first is Paul Robertson’s new animation, Pirate Baby’s Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006. It’s a big download, but worth it. Incredible pixel animation.
The next video is Tyger. […]
I’d like to put in a good word today for the website Mersey Remakes, “a couple of folks who love old games”. The great thing about this site is it’s dedicated to remaking some of the old classics. They give the games away for free, all for the love of the old games. […]
A trailer is now available for Terra Galactica. The game’s looking good so far. The development diary has been updated as well.
Shoot the Core points out there’s an interview with Hizoka T. Ohkubo, the creator of Warning Forever (a classic game, I talk about it here). Head on over to Little Mathletics for an interesting read. Interesting, I’m working on Dragon Forever, coincidence? No, it’s a bit of a tribute to Mr. Ohkubo’s […]
